There is one. As I keep saying - take a look at the European scene which
has left most American programs in the 80's. If you look at programs like:
Kobold, Gemini, Ease, Connect, Papyrus, Everest, Interface, Interface,
Interface!!!, Egale, Addresse, CD-Tools, TrueImage, EBackup, DA's Picture,
GEMBench, Screenblaster 2, GSpool, Two In One and many more, a standard
interface will emerge quite quickly. The fact that you choose to ignore it
doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If you do ignore it, you will simply be
isolating yourself and will most definitely not be taken seriously by
developers, journalists or users on this side of the pond. If you close
your eyes people can still see you!
